Summary
SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Worcester
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Paragon Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive school in Worcester to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The school provides a nurturing environment for pupils with additional needs and is committed to ensuring every child receives personalised support to help them succeed.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people. You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, and communication difficulties.
Key responsibilities:
Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assisting with personalised learning activities and interventions
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and social development
Implementing behaviour strategies in line with school policy
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
Contributing to a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
