This role involves supporting children's development, organising engaging activities, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and stimulating setting. A passion for early childhood education and experience with children are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
Supporting children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care
Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for children and staff
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Assisting with the organisation of daily routines, including meal times, naps, and play sessions
Contributing to the assessment and documentation of children's progress
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the nursery setting
Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development programmes
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Proven management or leadership skills within a childcare environment are advantageous
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience in organising activities that support child development
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation or home visits
