Summary

Purpose of the role:

We are a multi-disciplinary digital and engineering organisation delivering large-scale transformation across the public and private sectors. As a Salesforce Lead Architect, you will shape architectural direction across multiple programmes and ensure secure, scalable, well‑governed solutions.

The Salesforce Lead Architect is the senior Salesforce technical authority. You will define architecture strategy, govern multi‑programme delivery, and assure technical excellence, working closely with Engineering Leads and global delivery teams. What you'll be doing:

Enterprise-Level Architecture Leadership

• Own Salesforce architecture strategy across multiple programmes.
• Create enterprise patterns, reference architectures, guardrails, and standards.
• Assure consistency in integration, data models, security patterns, and platform governance.
• Oversee platform roadmap, environment strategy, and API governance.

Client Engagement & Advisory

• Act as senior advisor to C ‑ suite and Architecture Boards.
• Lead discovery, technical assessments, future-state architectures, and roadmaps.
• Explain architectural trade-offs to senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Build trusted client relationships, particularly within regulated environments.

Solution Governance & Assurance

• Participate in Technical Design Authority forums.
• Approve end-to-end Salesforce architectures.
• Drive architecture reviews, code audits, and technical assurance.
• Ensure secure-by-design and compliant implementations.

Delivery Leadership Across Global Teams

• Guide Engineering Leads, Solution Architects, and Technical Architects.
• Maintain architectural alignment across UK and India teams.
• Support estimation, planning, sprint governance, and release assurance.

Security, Compliance & Assurance

• Ensure designs comply with SC-eligible security requirements, GDPR, and NCSC patterns.
• Oversee identity and access (SSO, OAuth, MFA, Zero-Trust models).
• Lead technical input into risk assessments and security reviews.

Pre-Sales, Bids & Commercial Support

• Approve and contribute to Salesforce architecture in bids, tenders, and RFPs.
• Shape solution strategy, costs, delivery approach, and technical narratives when required based on previous delivery experience.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

• Salesforce System or Application Architect certification
• Extensive experience architecting multi-cloud Salesforce implementations.
• Deep expertise in Apex, LWC, Flows, Integration Patterns, Data Cloud, and OmniStudio.
• Proven experience designing secure, scalable, compliant architectures.
• Strong experience working with AWS/Azure/MuleSoft integrations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience leading architecture across multiple programmes.
• Eligible and willing to undergo UK SC Clearance.

Desirable Certifications:

• Salesforce CTA (desirable but not required).
• Integration Architect, Sharing & Visibility Architect, Data Architect.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure).
