Summary

PETA, an award-winning corporate training and apprenticeships provider, is partnering with the University of Portsmouth on a high-impact Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to transform vocational training education by embedding future-oriented, inclusive training solutions that address regional and national skills gaps.

This project will recruit two Associates. This advert concerns Associate 1, who will lead the design and development of the Future Skills Navigator (FSN), a data-driven diagnostic tool that integrates labour market intelligence, industry benchmarks, and stakeholder insights to identify current and future training needs in the Hampshire region.

The Associate will work at the intersection of data analytics, systems architecture, and user-centred digital design, applying advanced analytical and methodological approaches to real-world challenges. They will collaborate closely with PETA’s operational teams and academic supervisors from both information systems and computing to create a tool that provides actionable insights for curriculum development and workforce planning.

This KTP will embed critical future-skills intelligence capabilities into PETA, enabling data-driven decision-making, more agile curriculum development, and enhanced regional impact. The role offers the opportunity to lead a strategically significant innovation project while benefitting from structured mentoring, academic support, and professional development through the KTP scheme.

Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working may be available for this role, but it is not guaranteed.

The interviews are currently anticipated to be held on 26 & 27 March 2026.

This appointment is a fixed-term contract for 34 months.
