Summary
We are currently looking for an Hiab HGV 2 driver to transport and deliver goods and building materials across the country , mostly building products in the form of bricks and blocks but also transport steel and timber using flatbed and Hiab crane . If you you want a job that can take you all over the country with 3-4 nights out per week, this could be the role for you. We are looking at applicants with Hiab experience with up to date certificates. This is a full time permanent role.
Duties
Loading/unloading goods with Hiab crane.
Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers.
Helping to load and unload goods making sure loads are safely secured.
Completing delivery paperwork using phone applications and log books.
3-4 Nights out a week.
Skills
Hiab certificate ( in date ).
Excellent driving skills.
The ability to complete record sheets and paperwork accurately.
Have good knowledge and follow the working time and driving time directives.
A good understanding of safety, on the road and when loading and unloading.
A polite manner with customers, when picking up or dropping off loads.
Good knowledge and use of mobile phone apps.
A reasonable level of fitness.
To be trustworthy and reliable.
