Summary
A Vacancy at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
• Co-ordinate and deliver the level 3 education programmes for the pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician and level 2 education programmes for pharmacy support staff.
• Lead, identify and develop training programs
• Monitor trainees and manage their progress and behaviours
• Directly supervise and support trainees in their programmes by being their designated educational supervisor (ES).
• Co-ordinate and assist with learning event planning and setup
• Complete and submit accurate reports as required by educational institutions including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Provide instructions to trainees and advice to managers who participate in pharmacy educational programs.
• Serve as a member or liaison to assigned educational programmes/campus and external committees and task forces.
• Evaluate trainee learning progress weekly and manage individual training who have been put on the Trainee Requiring Additional Support (TRAS) programme.
• Meet on a regularly scheduled basis with trainees and their line managers where necessary.
• Create a nurturing and safe learning environment.
• Effectively manage multiple ETD projects/events/programmes and establish priorities with minimum supervision.
• Collaborate with the senior Pharmacy Management Group (PMG).
• Contribute to the strategic planning and development of education and training in the pharmacy department.
• To be the lead Education and Training (E&T) Pharmacy Technician and Educational Programme Director (EPD) for Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians (PTPTs).
• To develop a training rota for the trainees and apprentices.
• To deliver regular teaching sessions and workshops to relevant pharmacy and other staff.
• To chair the lead pharmacy technician forum and the Local Faculty Group (LFG).
• To co-ordinate, manage and develop induction programs for all pharmacy staff.
• To be an accredited NVQ in pharmacy service assessor (A1) and/or verifier (V1).
• To be an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) facilitator.
• To develop and implement E&T related training policies and procedures
• To act as an ACPT and provide operational support to pharmacy dispensary services where necessary and participate in dispensary cover rosters.
• To act as Education Programme Director (EPD) for pharmacy technical staff.
• To offer advice and support pharmacy staff to undertake relevant training courses
