Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temporary Accommodation Housing Officer to join our team. Responsibilities
Assess and determine the temporary accommodation needs of clients.
Coordinate placements in temporary housing and ensure compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of client information, placements, and housing status.
Provide support and guidance to clients in securing long-term housing solutions.
Work collaboratively with social services and government agencies to facilitate client assistance.
Prepare and deliver reports on accommodation statistics and client outcomes.
Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to monitor their progress and address any issues.
Requirements
Proven experience in housing support, social work, or a related field.
Strong understanding of homelessness and housing issues within the community.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse populations.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computer software for record-keeping and reporting.
Empathetic and non-judgmental attitude with a commitment to advocacy for vulnerable populations.
