Summary
Room Leader Level 3 – Up to £34,000 – Islington
Here you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, balancing high-quality practice with clear organisation, planning, and oversight of staff and routines.
The nursery is Good rated by Ofsted and operates from bright, spacious playrooms with a dedicated educational programmes room and a secure outdoor area, including a mud kitchen. The pace is steady and purposeful, with clear expectations around standards, safeguarding, and consistency.
Before You Apply
- This role requires recent experience as a Room Leader in an Early Years setting.
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above is essential.
- This position is not suitable for candidates without room-level leadership responsibility.

What You’ll Need
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
- Proven experience as a Room Leader in an Early Years nursery
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Confidence overseeing staff, ratios, and daily routines
What You’ll Do
- Lead the daily organisation and practice within your room
- Plan and deliver activities in line with the EYFS
- Complete observations, assessments, and room documentation
- Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards at all times
- Support and guide staff working within the room
- Communicate clearly with parents regarding children’s progress and daily care
