Working hours: As and when requiredInterview Date: To be confirmedJob Summary:We are currently recruiting a Relief Cleaning Assistant to join our team on a sessional basis at the George Steven Community Hub.This is a unique environment where you will work as part of a strong and supportive team, learn new skills and meet new people who strive towards the same outcomes.As a Relief cleaning Assistant, you will work with members of the public, including some of the most vulnerable individuals in our locality and our service users who are adults with learning and physical disabilities. Key Responsibilities:Undertake cleaning duties according to the cleaning schedule to ensure a high standard is maintainedWear protective clothing and follow safe working practices to ensure health & safety and environmental health & hygiene standards are maintainedStore cleaning materials in accordance with safety standardsTreat service users and members of the public in a sympathetic, helpful and supportive mannerMove chairs / tables / equipment as required to fulfil cleaning requirementsPlace orders for cleaning materials as and when required.Successful candidate will have: Previous cleaning experienceKnowledge of relevant health & safety requirements and procedures)Experience of using cleaning equipmentAwareness of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) requirementsBasic standard of literacy and numeracyIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and a satisfactory Disclosure Scotland/PVG Check.
