Summary
Perform venepuncture on children and adults Ensure correct patient identification and accurate labelling of samples Prepare samples for laboratory analysis in line with protocols Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and health and safety Reassure patients and provide clear explanations of procedures relevant to their age or understanding Record and update patient information accurately Dispose of clinical waste safely and appropriately Report any adverse reactions or incidents promptly Maintain stock levels and equipment cleanliness
