Summary

You must have either a Level 2 BTEC Diploma or extended Diploma or equivalent qualification or have previous care experience or experience in a person-centred & public facing role. As a band 2 HCSW you must have previous experience of care or experience in working within a person-centred & public facing role or already hold a level 2 health and social care related qualification. Full and Part Time Posts available. The salary will be pro rata for part time staff. Cedar Ward Hospital of St Cross, Rugby Supporting the Registered Nursing staff in providing assistance and personal care for patients at Rugby, St Cross Hospital part of University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire. We have vacancies within Trauma and Orthopaedics on Cedar Ward. Cedar Ward is 41 bedded ward that cares for patients undergoing elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery. Fourteen of our beds care for trauma patients who have commenced their inpatient journey at University Hospital in Coventry who are transferred to Rugby to continue their recovery. We also have a ten bedded area which is used for our day case hip and knee replacements. Cedar Ward is a busy dynamic ward where you will have plenty of opportunity to develop skills and become part of a friendly team delivering high standards of care. Theatres UHCW- Coventry & Hospital of St Cross, Rugby HCSWS in Theatres have an important role in making sure patients, who may be anxious about going into the operating theatre feel as calm and comfortable as possible, working with other members of the theatre team, including theatre nurses, anaesthetists, surgeons, operating department practitioners and administrative staff.
