Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dietitian with energy and drive, to join our team.
We are part of the largest NHS acute trust in England, including the second largest tertiary children’s hospital in London. We provide several tertiary paediatric services including Surgery, Cystic Fibrosis, Gastroenterology, Allergy, Neonatology, Neurology, Diabetes and PICU.
This well-established role is in the multi-disciplinary Community Eating Disorders Service for Children and Young People (CEDS-CYP) which serves young people with eating disorders in the London Boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets and City & Hackney; an ethnically-diverse population. You will be part of a team of multidisciplinary professionals including Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Paediatrics, and Dietetics.
The workload consists mainly of outpatients. You will be expected to attend specialist clinics across the region. You will work closely with the specialist hospital at home eating disorders intensive service for in-reach to support transition back into the community and to prevent admissions. You will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of eating disorder presentations as well as comorbid mental and physical health diagnoses to allow for the provision of a holistic care package for the young person. You will work alongside and line manage a band 6 Dietitian in the CEDS team.
To work within the multidisciplinary team, to provide highly specialized dietetic advice to children and young people with eating disorders;
To undertake outpatient clinics in the London Boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets and City & Hackney.
The post holder would undertake research and audit on a regular basis to ensure that practice is evidence based.
