Summary

We are WR Fundraising Recruitment and we are delighted to be working with a hugely important charity in Hampshire, dedicated to providing vital support and refuge to survivors of domestic abuse.

We’re looking for a relationship - focussed bid writing professional to join a business development team and contribute to a successful bids and tenders programme for support contacts.

With a range of new programmes in development, we are looking for an experienced Bid Writer, Bid Manager or Trusts and Grants Fundraising Officer with a strong track record in bids and tenders.

With a prominent cause in the spotlight, and a very financially stable charity, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of applications and bids and join an emerging team that’s set to grow over the next year.

Bid Writer / Business Development Manager
Full Time, Permanent
Portsmouth, Hampshire – with hybrid and flexible working available
Up to £39,000 plus benefits

A full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle are essential

Duties will include:
• Produce compelling and persuasive written material in response to grant, trust and tender applications
• Prepare compelling responses to grant applications, support the Business Development Director and wider leadership team with responses to complex tenders and high-value funding applications.
• Lead the development of bid responses, including bid structure, content and responses to questions
• Applying and securing income for the organisation through creating and leading on commercial bids and tender applications for commissioned services
• Complete all tender Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and administration in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure that bids and tenders are written in a manner that is consistent with brand guidelines, ethos and values.
• Line management of the Business Development Data Officer

The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven background of success in writing successful bids and tenders and all relevant PQQ and ITT requirements for statutory funders.
• Experience of generating income through competitive tenders and funding applications
• Detailed understanding of the principles and practice of bid and tender writing.
• Strong research skills to identify funding prospects which lead to viable funding opportunities.
• Able to plan and prioritise workload efficiently and successfully perform duties under pressure.
• Knowledge of the local and national commissioning landscape
