The Role & Service
Boyn Grove Dementia Day Service is a specialist hub in Maidenhead designed to improve the quality of life for older people living with dementia, memory loss, Parkinson’s, and other long-term health issues.
Our environment is built for stimulation and ease, featuring high-contrast décor, reminiscence areas, and tactile wall panels. We provide a space where our customers can socialise, stay active, and enjoy sensory experiences that make every day meaningful.
What you’ll be doing:
As an Activity Support Organiser, your primary goal is to engage and motivate. You won’t just be "providing care"; you’ll be the spark that helps our customers enjoy a vibrant social life.
• Leading Activities: Delivering everything from arts and crafts, music sessions, and gardening to Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST).
• Community Outings: Getting behind the wheel of our service vehicles to take customers on trips to local attractions.
• Holistic Support: Helping with life skills and emotional wellbeing.
• Essential Care: Providing high-quality, person-centred care, including assistance with mobility, personal care, and medication.
Schedule & Requirements
• Enjoy a fantastic work-life balance with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule (08:30–16:30). No weekends or late nights!
• Driving: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role, as you will be driving our service vehicles for community trips.
• About You: While experience is a bonus, we are really looking for personality and creativity. If you have a hobby or a talent - whether it’s singing, baking, or trivia - we want you to bring that energy to our customers!
We provide comprehensive training, including classroom learning, shadowing experienced mentors, and online modules.
