GI Group are now seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer for our Public Sector client, a leading further and higher education provider. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic high education environment delivering high-quality teaching and curriculum development within the School of Construction and the Built Environment.
PURPOSE:
To teach on and contribute to, the development and support for a range of programmes. To work closely with other members of staff both within the area and across other College areas.
DUTIES:
· Deliver and assess learning on a range of Electrical Installation programmes (apprenticeships, full-time, part-time, and short courses).
· Act as course tutor and coordinate specified programmes, ensuring a positive experience for learners.
· Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and innovation in materials and delivery, including digital and blended learning.
· Support student recruitment, induction, enrolment, and progression.
· Foster industry contacts to facilitate employer engagement, work experience, and employment opportunities for students.
· Ensure employability, sustainability, and health & safety are embedded within programme content.
· Carry out administrative duties, including internal quality assurance, monitoring learner progress, and reporting.
· Stay current with professional, legislative, and sector developments, investing in own continuous professional development.
· Champion equality, diversity, safeguarding, anti-racist practice, and support the College's sustainability and net zero ambitions.
· Undertake other duties as required in line with the grade and scope of the post.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
· Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
· Level 2 English and Maths.
· Level 5 Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
· Level 3 Assessor Award (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
· Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification desirable
· Proven work experience in the electrical trade (commercial, industrial, and/or domestic).
· Strong organisational, communication, and digital skills.
· Team-focused, adaptable, and resilient.
· Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
