A welcoming mainstream primary school in Barnsley is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their SEN provision. This role offers an ASAP start and is expected to run until at least the end of the academic year.

The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with SEN across Early Years, KS1, and KS2, with a particular focus on Autism. Support will include 1:1 work and small-group interventions, delivered in collaboration with class teachers and the school’s SENDCo.

You will help identify barriers to learning, implement tailored strategies, and support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement. This Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role provides excellent insight into SEN provision within a mainstream primary school.
