Summary
We’re preparing to open our largest hotel yet, Dakota Manchester Airport, launching in early summer 2026. This brand-new property will feature our signature Bar & Grill and deliver the exceptional guest experience Dakota is known for.
We’re looking a hard working and skilled individual with an aptitude for general DIY tasks for the role of Maintenance Supervisor.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
The role carries a permanent contract of 40 hours per week usually shifts will be varied, working any 5 days out of 7 including working weekends.
The gross annual salary is £31,000 with a planned start date of 16th March 2026.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the role of Reception Manager is responsible for the leadership and the direct line management of the Reception and nights team as well as Guest Relations. The primary responsibilities of the role include:
- Perform general maintenance tasks., including plumbing, PAT testing, grout and silicone repairs, basic carpentry, and minor repairs such as lightbulb changes and carpet cleaning.
- Supervise and oversee the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules to ensures a smooth workflow and minimal disruption to the hotel operations.
- Work with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations, supporting other team members as needed.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues in guest bedrooms and other areas, addressing concerns and minor maintenance repairs to minimise guest disruption.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will have/be:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a front of house role in a supervisory or managerial capacity. [required]
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a 4* and 5* hotel environment, being a Duty Manager [preferable]
- Strong skillset and genuine desire to deliver training and coaching.
- Be a great communicator and a genuine people person.
- Holding valid personal license [preferable]
- Fully flexible in working shifts including evenings and weekends [required]
- An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
- Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
- Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
