Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Attendance & Inclusion Officer to support students’ engagement and attendance across the school. This is a highly visible, non-classroom role for someone who enjoys working directly with young people, building relationships, and removing barriers to learning.

Start Date: February 2026 (approx.)
Contract Type: Temporary / Maternity Cover – flexible duration
Working Pattern: Full-time

The ideal Attendance & Inclusion Officer is proactive, approachable, and skilled at working with students and families. You will monitor attendance, identify barriers, and implement strategies to improve engagement. Training or experience in Trauma-Informed Practice is a strong advantage and will support your work with students who have faced challenging circumstances.
Key Responsibilities-
Monitor attendance and punctuality, identifying trends and concerns early

Work directly with students to understand barriers to engagement

Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide support

Assist with reintegration plans for students returning from absence

Contribute to whole-school inclusion and wellbeing initiatives

Maintain accurate records and provide data-informed updates to senior staff
