Summary

Opportunity Overview

The post-holder will work in our public health team in the Directorate of Allied and Public Health in the School of health and Society. As the first University in the country to develop the Public Health Practitioner degree apprenticeship we are now looking to expand our team. The post holder should have the ability to teach across both the degree apprenticeship and post graduate courses. The post holder should also have the ability to take on a leadership role e.g., programme lead, supporting curriculum development, student recruitment and engage with the wider academic team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and deliver a range of teaching materials and modules, as well as setting, marking and assessing work
  2. Have the ability to take on a leadership role within the team e.g., drive forward and lead one of the Public Health courses, recruitment and ensure excellent student experience
  3. Ability to supervise student projects, including, where appropriate, PGT, field trips and placements
  4. Extend, transform and apply knowledge acquired from scholarship to learning, research and where appropriate external activities
  5. Promote equality and diversity for students and staff and sustain an inclusive and supportive study and work environment in accordance with University policy
