Opportunity Overview
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Podiatry (Clinical Education, Skills and Clinic Lead) on a full-time, permanent basis to join our growing Podiatry and Allied Health Professions (AHP) team at the University of Salford. This role offers a unique blend of academic leadership and clinical oversight, providing an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of podiatrists.
You will be an experienced HCPC-registered podiatrist with a broad range of clinical experience and a passion for teaching, curriculum development, and supporting student learning. You will have a proven track record in delivering high-quality, evidence-based podiatric care and education, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Our podiatry programmes are designed to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners, and our team works flexibly, which may include some Saturdays.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality podiatry teaching and clinical skills education across modules, in clinical and simulated environments, ensuring alignment with programme outcomes.
- Bridge academic teaching and clinical practice, ensuring students gain current, evidence-based podiatry skills and supporting curriculum development.
- Plan, monitor, and manage patient activity in the podiatry clinic, collaborating with operational staff to ensure appropriate capacity, case mix, and safe, effective learning.
- Lead, mentor, and support colleagues, contributing to staff development, module and programme delivery, and participation in the University PDR process.
- Undertake and disseminate research and scholarship, supervise learners in research, and contribute to funding applications, knowledge transfer, and professional engagement.
