Join Our Team as a Complex Care Support Worker – Make a Real Difference!

Are you looking for a rewarding and engaging role in complex clinical care? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client with complex needs in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire.

Pay: £16.22 per hour weekdays, £17.30 per hour weekends

Hours: 24 hours per week across a two week rota, Tuesday & Friday week one and Saturday & Sunday Week two (Days 08:00-20:00 and waking nights 20:00-08:00)

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a lady in her 40s who due to Conelia de Lange syndrome requires support with complex needs such as, communication issues, partial sight, challenging behaviour and learning disability. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

She lives in his own property with 24/7 support from her care team, enjoys being active and likes to be out and about in big open spaces alongside sensory activities. Your role will be to support her physically and emotionally, helping her live life to the fullest.

What We’re Looking For

Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a female support worker who is active, patient, and has a sense of fun and who can support our client to access her local community, maintain good health, and make positive progress in engaging with activities.

  • A genuine passion for care and making a difference
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Reliable, committed, and flexible approach
  • Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.

Key Responsibilities

As a support worker, you will:

  • Promote engagement with personalised routines
  • Support with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness
  • Helping to accessing the community
  • Promoting and supporting a healthy diet
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Maintain accurate care records and report any changes
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members
