As our People Advisor, you’ll help shape Riverford’s future.
You will play a vital role in helping Riverford become an exceptional place to work by ensuring best practice in employee relations (ER), supporting co-owners, and coaching managers to apply our values every step of the way.
This role is perfect for an experienced People/HR Advisor looking to deepen their impact in a values-led business. You'll need to be confident managing a broad range of complex ER issues, while remaining approachable, collaborative, and focused on fair outcomes.
You’ll be reporting to the People Services Manager and working closely with People Business Partners and the wider team. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and guiding stakeholders across the business.
Salary: £35k - £37.5k pro rata d.o.e
Location - Based on Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU.
Hours - This is a 12-month fixed term contract. The role is 24 hours per week, working 3 days a week.
What You’ll Bring…
CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrable ER experience across a variety of case types, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
Proven ability to manage complex and sensitive issues with fairness and confidence.
Comfortable coaching others and facilitating difficult conversations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to influence and persuade across all levels.
Calm, solutions-focused, and emotionally intelligent.
Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Confident in creating training resources and toolkits.
Either hold a Mental Health First Aider qualification or be willing to undertake training.
