Salary: c. £45,000 per annum
We are looking for an experienced Production or Fabrication Manager with a strong background in fabrication as well as welding.
This family-run engineering business in Grantham is growing with every year that passes and are looking to appoint a Production / Fabrication Manager to play a key role within their management team. This is a true all round production leadership role, working closely with the Workshop Manager, Sales Manager, and Directors to drive continuous improvement.
The Role
You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of production operations, leading a skilled team and ensuring high standards across safety, quality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Leading and managing a team of approximately 15 production staff across fabrication, welding, laser cutting, and machining
• Overseeing all aspects of production, including health & safety compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement
• Implementing processes and systems to maximise efficiency, productivity, and output quality
• Planning, scheduling, and delivering production targets in collaboration with management and shopfloor teams
• Driving operational improvements and innovation across the workshop
• Maintaining a safe, well-organised, and high-performing working environment
Skills & Experience
• Strong background in fabrication, welding, and ideally laser cutting, and CNC machining
• Proven experience managing teams within a workshop or production environment
• Solid understanding of health & safety, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Confident communicator who works well across teams and departments
