Summary
Job Title: Carpenter (Temporary to Permanent)
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (salaried)
Location: Wellington
I am recruiting on behalf of a conservation company that is looking to appoint a skilled and motivated Carpenter on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while meeting project timescales.
Working Hours:
8:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid break – no paid breaks)
40 hours per week
Benefits: (Applicable after a minimum of 12 weeks working with us as an agency worker)
28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
Additional holiday incentive: Gain 1 extra day of holiday for every 2 years of service (up to 5 extra days after 10 years)
Mileage paid at 30p per mile for travel exceeding 30 miles
Statutory Sick Pay (after 3 days)
Pension scheme
Company events held twice yearly
Company workwear provided
Health and safety equipment supplied
About the Role:
As a conservation company, they expect employees to work to the highest standards and maintain a productive pace that meets or exceeds project deadlines. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering a wide range of carpentry tasks with precision and professionalism.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry (preferred)
Ability to undertake all aspects of carpentry
Face fit tested
Asbestos awareness certification
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
