Summary

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference every day while doing something you genuinely enjoy. As part of our gardening social enterprise, you will support adults to develop skills, gain confidence and take pride in maintaining gardens for our external customers.

This role is perfect for someone who loves being outdoors, enjoys gardening and would like to bring that hobby into their working life. You will support people with a mix of tasks such as lifting and moving gardening equipment, planting, pruning, mowing, weeding, seasonal garden maintenance and helping to prepare gardens for our customers.

Alongside the practical work, you will be there to guide, encourage and celebrate achievements, helping people feel valued, involved and proud of what they create.

A UK manual driving licence is essential because you will be driving the service van to customer locations.

Hours

This role is 15 hours per week, worked across 2–3 days.
Core shifts are 8:30am–4:30pm, and you’ll work every other Saturday.
Occasional evening shifts may be needed to meet the needs of the people attending the service.

Location

Staplehurst, with some on‑site parking available.

About you

We are looking for someone friendly, supportive and ready to make a positive difference in people’s lives. You will have a genuine interest in gardening, enjoy being hands‑on and be happy working outdoors in all seasons.

Most importantly, you will care about helping people learn, gain skills and feel proud of what they achieve. If you’re patient, encouraging and love the idea of combining meaningful support work with your passion for gardening, we would be delighted to hear from you.
