Workshop Engineer
Location: Warrington

Overview
We are seeking a Workshop Engineer to carry out repair, maintenance, and preparation work on a range of materials‑handling and related equipment. This role involves fault diagnosis, repair, documentation, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults and identify required parts
  • Carry out repairs, modifications, rental preparation and PDI's
  • Complete inspection and defect reports accurately
  • Manage and order parts and sub‑contract services when needed
  • Maintain accurate records and use company systems/laptop
  • Uphold excellent health, safety, and housekeeping standards
  • Occasional site visits
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams

Person Specification
Suitable for mechanically or electrically biased engineers, including: automotive, HGV, mobile plant, forklift, and ex‑forces engineers.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Hold a full driving licence
  • Have customer‑facing experience
  • Be confident working independently
  • Have good literacy, numeracy, and basic IT skills
  • Hold an engineering background or relevant apprenticeship/qualification
  • (Desirable) Have materials handling experience
