Summary
An SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant (TA) supports students with diverse learning needs in accessing the curriculum and developing socially and emotionally, working with teachers to adapt activities, manage behaviour, provide one-on-one or small group support, prepare materials, and liaise with parents and other professionals to create an inclusive environment. Key duties involve supporting learning, assisting with physical/emotional care, record-keeping, implementing individual plans (IEPs/EHCPs), and fostering independence.
