Job Introduction
We’re looking for aDomestic Assistantto join ourSodexoteamatCDC Hanley. In this vital role, you’ll help create a safe,clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. What you’ll do:
- Maintain patient and visitor privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
- Deliver cleaning services in line with Trust/Sodexo policies and procedures
- Use, store, and maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals safely (COSHH)
- Ensure adequate stock of cleaning materials and equipment
- Report equipment faults, hazards, and near-miss incidents
- Participate in audits, surveys, and mandatory training (including infection control)
- Work safely in environments with dirt, smells, bodily fluids, and occasional verbal aggression
- Support safeguarding responsibilities and comply with health and safety regulations

- Physical capability to carry out cleaning duties across various hospital areas
- Emotional Resilience
- Be flexible in their approach, willing to ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure patient care and CDC standards are maintained at all times
- Understanding of Customer Care
- Ability to listen and have good communication skills
