Who are we?
A key player in decarbonisation and the energy transition, and a member of the NSE association (New Energy Systems), Upergy is a leading French group specialising in the sale of mobile and autonomous energy solutions through its international brands: Allbatteries, Enix Energies, Enix Power Solutions, 1001 Piles Batteries and Hawk-Woods.
Joining Upergy means becoming part of a team of 300 passionate and committed employees, spread across our subsidiaries in France, Tunisia, China, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Since 1996, Upergy has been constantly evolving to transform the energy sector. Today, we offer you the opportunity to contribute to our projects as a Subsidiary Managing Director (M/F) on a full-time permanent contract for our Ashford site.
Reporting to the Country Director, you will be responsible for the overall management of the subsidiary and for implementing the site’s commercial, operational and financial development strategy. A true conductor, you will operate in a fast-moving, dynamic and international environment.
As such, your main responsibilities will include:
• Defining and deploying the subsidiary’s strategic positioning, analysing market trends and identifying growth opportunities, in close collaboration with the Marketing Department and General Management.

• Driving business development, coordinating the management of strategic accounts, ensuring a strong field presence and actively contributing to the acquisition of new key accounts.

• Building, implementing and monitoring commercial action plans in collaboration with the Sales Directors.

• Managing and supporting the site’s multidisciplinary teams: leadership, skills development, and conducting individual and collective reviews.

• Assessing employee performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), analysing the achievement of objectives and implementing necessary corrective actions.

• Providing regular and structured reporting to General Management.

• Preparing, managing and monitoring operating budgets (human and financial resources) in coordination with General Management and the Finance Department, with full ownership of the P&L.

• Ensuring the site’s operational management: commercial performance, financial profitability, flow organisation and coordination of departments (Sales, Purchasing, Technical, Production, Logistics).

• Establishing high-quality employee relations, ensuring safety and risk prevention, in compliance with local regulations and Group values.

• Carrying out all duties with a continuous improvement mindset, while respecting internal processes and Group policies.

What we expect from our future colleague:
• You hold a Master’s degree (Business School, Engineering degree or equivalent) and have at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in a senior management or multidisciplinary team leadership role, with a strong commercial focus.

• Ideally, you have developed your career in an international environment and within the technical products sector.

• You have a strong command of international trade principles and are proficient in analysing and managing a P&L.

• You demonstrate a strong interest in IT tools, e-commerce and data-driven analysis.

• Full professional proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, is essential.

• Leadership, rigour, organisational skills, priority management, strong interpersonal skills, curiosity and a results-driven mindset are key qualities for success in this role.

What Upergy offers you:
• A strategic role at the heart of the Group’s decision-making

• A stimulating, supportive and collaborative working environment

• An international, multi-site context that is constantly evolving

• Working time: 39 hours per week
