Summary
We are looking for cutters and graders of asparagus, this involves walking/driving a buggy up and down the asparagus rows in the fields and cutting any spears that are of the correct height. Grading is done by machine but produce has to be put onto the grader and sorted as it comes out. We are hoping to start harvesting Mid April depending on the weather. The basic hours are 48 per week with a possibility of overtime, this would depend on how fast the crop is growing. Normally cutters work 6 days per week but this is negotiable and flexible hours/working days may be possible. The asparagus season normally runs from Mid April to the end of June.
