Job Purpose As a Newly Qualified Salaried GP under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme - ARRS - this post holder will work collaboratively across Harthill PCN to play a crucial role in clinical governance building capacity and capability and providing resolution and critical thinking to some challenging patient diagnosis or issues. Job Summary While operating as a Newly Qualified Salaried GP - ARRS - you will work as an autonomous practitioner responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the PCN and GMS contracts. Key Areas of Responsibility As a salaried GP your will play a crucial role in the provision of primary healthcare services Undertake surgery consultations including face-to-face digital online telephone Delivery of Enhanced Access Appointments and same day access The delivery of highly effective medical care to our population Work with patients to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance Effective management of long-term conditions Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care. Support and manage health needs of patients presenting for family planning or sexual health consultations Processing of administration in a timely manner including referrals repeat prescription requests other associated administrative tasks On a rotational basis undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance Working collaboratively accepting an equal share of the PCN workload Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the PCN Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area or areas Attend and contribute effectively to PCN and practice meetings as required Ensure compliance with the appraisal process Prepare and complete the revalidation process Risk Management and Quality Assurance Ensure robust clinical governance is in place for your practice which includes regular audit and evaluation, supervision and CPD. Management of workload and personal development Act on own initiative in prioritising and managing workload delegating tasks appropriately and referring to designated MDT/Board Members in respect of clinical managerial and administrative areas as necessary. Maintain own personal and professional development as agreed at your annual review.
