Summary
The Royal College of Art’s Consultancy & Commercial Services unit is the College’s commercial arm, connecting our internationally renowned academic and research expertise with partners across industry, government and the public sector. From consultancy and executive education to innovation partnerships, we deliver ambitious projects that create meaningful change worldwide.
We are now looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of consultancy and externally funded projects. This is a full time and permanent role based at our campuses at Kensington and Battersea with hybrid working available.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of creativity, research and enterprise — collaborating with world-class academics, global clients and multidisciplinary teams to bring complex, high-value projects to life.
What you’ll do
You will manage projects end-to-end, from initiation through to close-out, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards. You’ll oversee planning, risk management, governance and reporting, while maintaining strong financial and contractual control.
You’ll also act as a trusted point of contact for stakeholders, building effective relationships across the RCA and with external partners, and contributing to the continuous improvement of project management practices across the unit.
What you’ll bring
We’re seeking an experienced project professional with:
A strong track record of delivering complex projects, ideally in higher education, consultancy or the creative industries
Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
Confidence managing budgets, forecasts and financial reporting
Experience with governance, risk and document control processes
Outstanding communication, analytical and organisational abilities
A proactive, solution-focused mindset and the ability to work independently
A project management qualification (PRINCE2 or equivalent) and degree-level education or comparable experience are desirable.
Why join us
At the RCA, you’ll be part of a collaborative, inclusive and ambitious community, working on projects that shape industries and society. You’ll gain exposure to innovative ideas, international partnerships and meaningful work that delivers real impact.
If you’re motivated by variety, responsibility and the chance to work with some of the world’s most creative thinkers, we’d love to hear from you.
