Summary
The Waking Night Residential Support Worker will be responsible for ensuring a safe, calm, and nurturing environment for children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs during night-time hours.
The role requires constant vigilance, emotional awareness, and a clear understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and legal restrictions, including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) or equivalent frameworks.
The postholder will ensure that children feel safe, reassured, and supported overnight, responding appropriately to distress, incidents, or emergencies, and maintaining accurate records for continuity of care.
