Summary
The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for receipt and despatch of goods, and the control of stocked inventory within our warehouses working under the direction of the Warehouse Team Leader.
Based at our Maydown premises, your role will include:
- Accepting goods into the warehouse from incoming deliveries.
- Checking off goods received and entering into the ERP system.
- Putting away goods in the warehouse or preparing them for re-shipment.
- Replenishment of pick areas, stock rotation, managing stock expiry dates.
- Carrying out rolling stock takes, verifying warehouse locations of products.
- Operating the reach truck, load/unload delivery or despatch lorries as required (forklift training and certification will be provided)
- Picking and packing of goods and preparation of orders for despatch in a prompt and timely manner ready for our collection courier.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and keeping the warehouse tidy and safe.
- Ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met.
- Participating in departmental and team meetings to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Operating mechanical and IT systems necessary to fulfil the role
The applicant should ideally have some relevant working experience from a stores or warehousing background. You will have a positive attitude at all times, you will bring fresh thinking to our organisation on how our operations can be improved, and be able to act on your own initiative. You will be computer literate and will have achieved qualifications suitable for the role.
