We are recruiting a Facilities Manager to support our small and inclusive workforce and volunteer team. This is a central and highly valued role, ensuring the effective day to day running of our organisation and supporting key operational functions across two office sites. We’re looking for someone who is resourceful, solution focused, and able to anticipate needs before they arise.

About the Role

As our Facilities Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of SWACA. You will provide high quality administrative, organisational and operational support to the Board of Trustees, Chief Executive, and Head of Operations. This role requires someone who is proactive in managing priorities and resourceful in finding solutions to keep our systems and people supported.
You will help keep our systems robust, processes seamless, and ensure that staff and volunteers feel supported and able to deliver high quality services.

What You’ll Be Doing

Operational Administration: Managing daily administrative tasks, supporting onboarding of new starters, and maintaining organised, GDPR compliant records.
Meeting & Governance Support: Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and papers, taking professional minutes, and tracking actions.
Facilities & IT Coordination: Assisting the portfolio lead with building management across two sites, liaising with contractors, and supporting Health & Safety and IT functions.
Compliance and HR Administration: Managing supplier contracts, monitoring renewal dates (DBS, insurance, etc.), supporting annual returns and ensuring HR admin reflects good practice.
Fundraising & Partnership Support: Assisting with income generation activities, the 500 Club (Lottery), volunteer coordination and stakeholder engagement.

What We’re Looking For
• Significant experience in office administration and operational support
• Strong organisational, communication and problem solving skills
• Confident and accurate minute taking
• Facilities or building management experience
• Excellent IT literacy, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Commitment to professional standards and confidentiality
• Understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on individuals and families
• A proactive, resourceful, and self motivated approach to managing a varied workload

Desirable:
• Experience in the voluntary/charity sector
• Fundraising or income generation experience
• Experience delivering presentations or talks

SWACA has supported women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse across Sefton since 1974. Our core focus is on women and children, with expanded support for male victims since 2021. We work with partner organisations to ensure safety and wellbeing for all, and lead local work on child on parent violence and abuse.
