Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, processing, and managing recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner. The position is a hands-on role which will involve some heavy lifting & working outside.(bonus scheme can be offered)
Responsibilities
Sort and separate recyclable plastic materials according to company standards.
Operate recycling machinery and equipment safely, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Load and unload materials manually or using mechanical aids, ensuring proper handling of heavy items.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the recycling area to promote safety and efficiency.
Follow all environmental regulations and company policies regarding waste management and recycling procedures.
Requirements
Prior experience or knowledge of plastic recycling machinery & industry is an advantage but not essential. As full training can be given to the right candidate.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a regular basis.
Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and carry out manual tasks involving lifting and bending.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (in limited periods)
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in sorting processes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Awareness of health and safety standards related to industrial waste management.
