As a Part-time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges. You will work closely with the lead teacher, other teaching assistants, and the school's special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) to ensure that each student receives the personalised attention and support they require.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting students with their academic work, providing one-on-one or small group support as needed
- Implementing individualised learning plans and strategies developed by the SENCO or lead teacher
- Helping students with personal care tasks, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility, as required
- Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation
- Monitoring and recording student progress, behaviour, and any concerns, and communicating this information to the lead teacher or SENCO
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualifications, including:
- A minimum of one year of experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a special educational needs setting
- A relevant qualification in Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to their academic and personal growth
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being able to work independently when required
- A flexible and adaptable approach to your work, with the willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed

In return for your dedication and expertise, our client offers a competitive daily rate of £90 - £100, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment. This is a part-time position, with the potential for additional hours or the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role, depending on your availability and the needs of the school.

If you are an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and qualifications.

We look forward to hearing from you and discussing how you can contribute to the success of our client's educational institution.
