Summary

Our client, a leading sports and youth development organisation, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Mentor to join their team in Eastleigh, Hampshire. As a Sports Mentor, you will play a vital role in inspiring and guiding young individuals, helping them to reach their full potential both on and off the playing field.

In this exciting full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality sports coaching and mentoring sessions to a diverse group of participants. Your primary focus will be to use your expertise and passion for sports to engage young people, fostering their physical, mental, and social development. In your role as a Sports Mentor, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging and age-appropriate sports coaching sessions, focusing on a variety of disciplines
- Developing individualised plans to support the personal and athletic development of each participant
- Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, where participants feel empowered to take risks and challenge themselves
- Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to each young person's growth and wellbeing
- Maintaining detailed records and providing regular progress reports to our client
- Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- A passion for sports and a deep understanding of various sports disciplines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality sports coaching and mentoring sessions
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of each participant
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest coaching techniques and best practices
- A valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel within the local area
