Summary
I am a fifteen-year-old boy who lives in the Swansea area. I have a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and ODD. I live with my mum and require support to access activities that I enjoy, this would also allow my mum a break from her caring role. The activities that I enjoy are football, both playing football and watching Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Hours of work
9 hours a week, to progress to two over nights a month.

Essential:
I need you to:
• Be lively and energetic, as I need someone who would be able to match my energy.
• Let me make my own decisions as I know what I want, and this is very important to me. I need guidance and prompting to ensure that I make good decision and can keep myself safe such as when I am crossing the road, cooking at home etc.
• Like football as it is important to me, I would like to be able to talk about it with my PA and play football together.
• Have firm boundaries in place, so I know where I stand at all times.
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You enjoy having fun, and it is important that my PA is also able to have fun with me.
I’d like support with
• Accessing the community and doing things that he enjoys such as playing and watching football.
• Visiting the LC2 and other local pools.
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
