Summary
Senior Private Client Solicitor (7+ PQE) – Management/Team Lead (preferred)
Location: Flexible across West & North Yorkshire (with Dewsbury required on Tuesdays)
Working pattern: Full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days/week)
Hybrid: 1–2 days working from home

A well-established, highly regarded Yorkshire law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its’ expanding Private Client department. This is a key hire as the team grows — ideal for someone who enjoys high-quality client work and is happy to support, mentor and help shape a busy team.
The role
You’ll manage a broad caseload of private client matters, typically including:
- Wills (including complex wills)
- Probate and estate administration
- Powers of Attorney
- Trusts and related advisory work
- IHT planning / estate planning (depending on experience)
There is also scope to take on supervisory/management responsibilities (preferred but not essential) and to play a part in the continued development of the department.
Location & working pattern
- You can be based from any of their offices (including Wakefield, Wetherby,
Horsforth and Selby)
- The whole Private Client department meets in Dewsbury every Tuesday, so
you must be able to attend Dewsbury on Tuesdays
- Hybrid working is available (typically 1–2 days from home)
What they’re looking for
- Ideally around 7+ PQE Private Client Solicitor (or equivalent experience)
- Confident running your own files with minimal supervision
- Strong client care and a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Ideally some team leadership/management or mentoring experience (or the
appetite to step into it)
