Summary
Year 4 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Accrington
Humly is recruiting a Year 4 Class Teacher to join a primary school on a maternity cover basis.
This is a full-time role starting 20th April 2026 and continuing until 24th July 2026. The role would suit a qualified teacher seeking a temporary Key Stage 2 position, providing continuity and consistency within the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
Plan and deliver engaging lessons to Year 4 pupils across the curriculum
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support where needed
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual pupils, including those with additional learning requirements
Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and support school initiatives
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils
Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons to meet diverse learning needs
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Pay
Non-AWR: £120+ per day
AWR (from week 13): £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)

Enhanced DBS required (Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
