We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support a complex construction project at Gatwick Airport. The works include new fuel main installations, EV charger installations, demolition works, and the construction of a new hangar. This is a hands-on freelance role within a live, safety-critical airport environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Setting out for civil, structural, and building works

Managing and checking setting-out information using GPS/total station

Overseeing quality control and ensuring works are delivered to drawings and specifications

Supporting demolition works and enabling packages

Coordinating works related to fuel main infrastructure and EV charger installations

Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams

Completing as-built records and site documentation
-
Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and airport operational procedures
-
Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil/building projects

Experience with infrastructure, demolition, or aviation-related projects preferred

Strong setting-out and surveying skills

Ability to work accurately in a live operational environment

SMSTS or SSSTS desirable

CSCS card required

Right to work in the UK

Willingness to undergo airport security clearance
