Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Hours of Post: 19.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Wednesday afternoon and full day Thursday and Friday
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time only plus inset days (number of inset days to be discussed)
Salary: Scale 5, points 12 to 17 - £28,598 to £31,022 FTE
(salary will be pro rata to part time, term time hours)

The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated, inspirational Higher Level Teaching Assistant for September 2026 to join our outstanding, happy and successful Nursery School. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, forward-thinking individual with a passion for education and inspiring a lifelong love of learning in our children.
The successful candidate should be able to offer:
Minimum of Level 3 childcare qualifications or equivalent and have substantial experience of working within an Early Years setting.
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum with experience of planning, development, delivery and evaluation of effective Early Years Practice.
Ability to work in a team.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
This is a physically demanding job that requires the post holder to work both indoors and outdoors. The work frequently involves working at low height or on the floor.
