Summary
Role Overview
The Freelance Sales Consultant will be responsible for sourcing and converting clients for immigration advisory and recruitment services. This is a fully commission-based, freelance role with flexible working arrangements. The consultant will act as an independent contractor and will not be considered an employee.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and approach prospective clients for immigration and recruitment services
Explain available services clearly and accurately to potential clients
Collect and record client details (name, contact details, service required, background information)
Refer qualified leads to the internal immigration/recruitment team for assessment and processing
Follow up with clients to support conversion until service agreement/payment is completed
Maintain professionalism and comply with all data protection and confidentiality requirements
Ensure no immigration advice is given unless authorised (where applicable)
Commission Structure
25% commission payable on the net service fee received from the client
Commission becomes payable only after full payment is received from the client
No basic salary, retainer, or expense reimbursement
Commission payments processed as per agreed payment cycle (e.g., monthly)
Skills & Requirements
Proven experience in sales, lead generation, or client acquisition (immigration/recruitment preferred)
Strong communication and persuasion skills
Ability to work independently and manage own leads
Basic understanding of immigration or recruitment services (training may be provided)
Access to own phone, internet, and working resources
Must operate on a self-employed / freelance basis
Compliance & Legal Notes
This role does not permit the provision of regulated immigration advice unless authorised by OISC or equivalent body
The consultant must strictly refer clients to authorised advisors for case handling
All activities must comply with UK data protection laws (UK GDPR)
