Summary
Hinckley Parks Primary School are part of the Owls Academy Trust and are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dynamic Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Hours of work are: 27½ hours per week, term time only , plus one week.Actual Salary: £13.05 - £13.25 per hourStart: 13th April 2026Interviews to be held: Week Commencing 2nd March 2026
Key Responsibilities • Support pupils with SEN to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life • Provide intimate care and medical care to pupils as required, ensuring their dignity and safety at all times • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to provide tailored learning support • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil confidence and independence
Personal Qualities • Use your initiative to adapt support to meet the individual needs of pupils • A calm and consistent approach to working with children. • Good communication skills with colleagues, children and parents. • Experience of working with children with additional needs either on a one-to-one basis or in a small group. • Ability to implement school policies eg: behaviour, safeguarding etc. • High expectations of yourself. • Ability to build positive relationships with the children, parents/carers and colleagues with the school and community. • Willingness to undertake personal development and training. • Ability of working dependently, but under the direction and guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
The successful candidates must have the following:- • Minimum Mathematics and English GCSE Grade 4/5 or above/equivalent • NVQ Level 2 (minimum) • High expectations of children both academically and socially.
