Moorland Primary School is situated in the heart of Splott. It is a friendly, diverse and welcoming primary school with a strong community spirit. The school has two resource bases for children with complex learning needs. Each base has capacity for 10 children who are supported by a class teacher and three teaching assistants. We are seeking a new teaching assistant to work in both resource bases.
We are looking for someone with recent and relevant experience of working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs. We are seeking a highly motivated teaching assistant
who is committed to supporting the whole child. You will help support children’s learning in the SRBs as well as developing their social skills and helping and encouraging them to manage their emotions. You will be working as part of a supportive team. Good literacy and numeracy skills and a strong understanding of child development will be essential to the post.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
