Summary
To ensure improved quality of care, maximise efficiency of service delivery, and optimal performance and productivity in the delivery of assigned service areas by: o ensuring patient flow pathways and processes are designed to meet operational best practice and eliminate waste, inefficiency, and delay whilst working in agreed budgets. o ensuring designed pathways and processes are consistently applied in practice. o ensuring that teams/staff engaged in the pathways achieve maximum productivity within their available time. o providing management supervision and maintain overall responsibility for the workforce o working in partnership with operational managers, professional leads, external partners and service users to develop services o overseeing the operational running of the service including contracts to external agencies. o maintaining compliance with, and development of, clinical policies, procedures and guidelines. oCommunicates service-related information to senior managers, staff, external agencies: requires negotiating, persuasive, motivational, reassurance skills; gives formal presentations.
