Summary
Drybrook Surgery is seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our friendly team as Care Navigators / Admin Assistants. This varied, interesting, and sometimes busy role will involve both frontline patient interaction and essential administrative work you will never be bored! Full training will be provided for the correct candidates. The Role As a Care Navigator / Admin Assistant, you will be a vital part of our practice, primarily working on reception. A key aspect of this role is providing essential cover for staff leave and sickness across various administrative functions, including reception, our prescription clerk, medical secretary and patient services administrator. This ensures the smooth running of our services and continuous patient care. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Greeting patients and visitors, managing appointments, and handling general enquiries at reception whilst offering our patients the highest standard of care. Providing cover for our prescription clerk, processing prescription requests accurately and efficiently during period of absence. Assisting our medical secretary with administrative tasks during periods of absence. Maintaining patient records and ensuring data accuracy. Handling incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls and emails. Supporting the wider practice team with various administrative duties. Hours We are recruiting for two positions: Job 1:18 to 22 hours per week Job 2:10 to 15 hours per week Please note:Flexibility isessentialfor these roles. Your hours will vary significantly depending on where cover is needed. For example, one week may involve your normal contracted hours, while the next could require full-time work to cover for our Reception Lead.The cover element of this role is critical; please do not apply if you are unable to accommodate this flexibility, which may sometimes be required at very short notice due to staff sickness. About You We are looking for candidates who are ideally experienced in primary care or are very quick and willing to learn. You will need to be adaptable, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient service.
