Part-Time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am 5 years old living in the Aberdare area, I live with my parents and my little sister. My mum describes me as a cheeky character who likes attention. I have a smile that lights up the room, I like to explore my surrounding areas with bum shuffles, and I am non- verbal but have my own way of expressing my needs. I have complex health needs and support for my care will be required alongside my mum.
My health needs significantly impact my daily life, I have been diagnosed with ventriculomegaly, developmental delay and epilepsy, full training will be needed in manual handling, epilepsy awareness and medical training around feeding requirement will also be required. I am fully reliant on a feeding tube so time management will be in place with this.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To support mum in the home and out in the community.
RATE(S) OF PAY
£14.75 per hour
HOURS OF WORK
4 hours a week
To Support mum 2 days a week after school 4pm-6pm
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Personal care will be required
Support for mum with after school routine.
Going to the local park
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone who is bubbly and chatty.
An experience person would be an advantage, but full training will be given.
A driver is desirable but not essential.
Someone who can support alongside mum
ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a four-weekly / monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
