Creating Places Where People Thrive
At Bromford Flagship, we don’t just build homes - we create vibrant, thriving communities which enable our customers to thrive. As head of strategic development, you’ll lead the identification and delivery of large-scale, high-quality place-making projects and play a key role in our ambition to become a master developer of new places.
You’ll oversee strategic projects from initial site identification to infrastructure delivery and handover to our regional teams, managing a team of strategic development managers and holding full P&L responsibility. You and your team will secure land and enter into partnerships, achieve outline planning consent and implement innovative investment and delivery models. You will work closely with our regional teams to ensure projects meet both strategic and operational objectives. You’ll provide clear, timely reporting to boards and committees, identifying risks and opportunities and ensuring strong governance across all projects.
You’ll also be a confident external ambassador, building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, landowners, developers, and politicians at all levels, with regular travel across the Bromford Flagship patch.
This is a permanent, full-time role. You can be based at any of our main offices in Chipping Sodbury, Tewkesbury, London or Wolverhampton, with some home working also available.
What you’ll bring:
- Extensive experience in large-scale development, including brownfield and greenfield sites of 1,000+ homes
- Proven track record in master planning, securing outline planning, designing and delivering infrastructure
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to inspire high-performing teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Relevant degree or technical qualification
- Full UK driving licence and ability to undergo basic DBS and consumer checks
If you’re driven to create places that make a real difference, not just homes, and thrive in leading complex projects at scale, we’d love to hear from you.
